Community Connection for Child Care (CCCC) is dedicated to the development of quality child care options in Kern County. CCCC programs are funded by federal, state and local governments, private foundations, corporations, and community groups.

    Programs for the Entire Community

    Child Care Resource and Referral Services (R&R) are the foundation at Community Connection for Child Care, providing FREE customized lists of licensed child care centers and family child care providers in Kern County.This service to available to ALL families in Kern County.

      On-line Provider Update Forms for Family Child Care Home Providers and Child Care Centers

      Trustline Registry For parents who are thinking abut hiring a nanny, Trustline is an important safeguard. CCCC is the agency that administers the Trustline program here in Kern County. Trustline is the California registry of in-home child care providers who have passed a background screening. There is a LiveScan fingerprinting operator in the CCCC 24th Street office (call 1-800-315-4507 for appointments). Here is a list of Antelope Valley locations.

      Resource Library provides a lending library of toys, books and videos in addition to a laminating machine, binding machine, copy machine and Ellison Die-cut machines. Each of these tools can help you add pizzazz to your reading, creative projects and interactive programs. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful center-as a resource in helping you be the best you can be!

      Kern LINCC - Local Investment in Child Care Project
      The Kern County Local Investment in Child Care (LINCC) Project works to expand quality, licensed child care in Kern County through a partnership between CCCC and the Early Childhood Council of Kern.


    Education & Training Classes/Workshops in Child Development
    Free and low-cost workshops for child care professionals, parents and community members. Take advantage of the continuing education opportunities from participating programs!

      Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)
      Aims to increase the capacity of family child care providers and improve the quality of care for infants and toddlers in family child care settings. CCIP also supports the training and development of non-English speakers. Participants may be new or existing providers that are expanding to a larger capacity or serving families during non-traditional hours/days. The Growing, Learning, Caring project connects all license-exempt providers (family and friend caregivers), including those participating in the CalWORKs and APP subsidized child care programs, with resources, training and support services to improve the quality, safety and consistency of care.

    Child Care Payment Assistance - For eligible families.

      The CEL of Kern County: Child Care Financial Assistance is a "one stop" for families to be placed on the eligibility list for subsidized child care and early education programs in Kern County.

      Alternative Payment Program provides direct payments for child care for low income working and student parents. To apply for the Alternative payment program just fill out and application with the CEL of Kern county.

      CalWORKs provides direct payments for child care for CalWORKs parents. Participants should contact their DHS worker to connect to child care services.

      CCCC Parent-Provider Handbook English and Spanish

    Child Care Food Program - for licensed family child care providers.

      A Food Nutrition Program provides education and reimbursement to family child care providers for nutritionally balanced meals served to children in their care.
