    The High School Equivalency Program is a Migrant Education Program designed to meet the special needs of migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their children, in pursuit of the GED Diploma or the HSED (High School Equivalency Diploma). The intent of the HEP Program is to assist in the preparation and successful completion of GED exams. HEP will provide for placement services in universities, colleges, junior colleges, vocational institutions, military services, other post-secondary activities or career positions. Any Migrant or Seasonally employed agricultural worker or their children who:

    • Within the last 24 months have worked a minimum of 75 days in farmwork; or eligible in or
    • Participated in a Migrant Education Program;
    • Is at least 16 years of age or over, or beyond the age of compulsory school attendance;
    • Has not earned a secondary school diploma or its equivalent; and not currently enrolled in school.

    Free ESL Classes, Parenting Classes, pre-kindergarten for 4-year olds and parent & child interactive activities. Families must participate in all classes and meet the low income guidelines to qualify for the program.
