Oaks Children's Center
A fulltime preschool teacher is needed at Oaks Children's Center (10200 Campus Park Drive). Deadline to apply is September 30, 2010. Applicatns must have a minimum of 12 units in early childhood education from an accredited college, 2 years teaching experience in a licensed childcare center, and continuing education in the field of child development. - Understands and supports the philosphy and mission of Oaks Children's Center.
- Plans and provides age appropriate activities in all areas of development: spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and cognitive.
- Respects children's ideas, thoughts, work, and play.
- Interacts with children throughout the day by talking, asking questions, modeling appropriate language and behavior.
- Creates a warm and inviting enviroment that stimulates and promotes early learning.
- Consistent awareness and ability to postively respond to children's need for support, attention, or assistance.
- Assists parents and conducts parent conferences as needed concerning progress of children.
- Attends monthly staff- inservice meetings.
- Performs other duites as assigned.
